“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.” – Oprah Winfrey
I recently celebrated my 46th birthday – I know, I know … I don’t look a day over 45 and 3/4’s.
The more years that pass, the more contemplative I become, attempting to grab ahold of nuggets passed down from those who’ve been there, done that.
I’ve also paid closer attention to the life lessons that have been knocking on my front door for years, but have gone unanswered.
Something that has tugged at me for most of my life, but has finally started breaking through my perfectionism, is the importance of celebrating … ME!
I now take time to intentionally celebrate accomplishments and future visions.
Today, I ask you to celebrate … YOU!
Cherish what you’ve gone through, currently going through, and future successes. Celebrate the highs and more importantly, your lows. Put on lenses of gratitude for your bottom – your bottom is simply a trampoline, ready to launch you to new heights … but only if you celebrate lessons learned.
Raise your arms to the obstacles, to the pitfalls, to the wins, to the lives you’ve impacted, and will continue to impact. Celebrate … YOU!
Take intentional moments to reminisce about the love you’ve given and have been given. Stand on the podium and scream to the world, “Nothing will break me! I fight relentlessly, love deeply, and am grateful for each and every experience past, present, and future.”
Life’s short, it hurts sometimes, it’s amazingly rewarding other times – it’ll challenge every fiber of self belief, and ask you to go all-in on your dreams.
Live fully, give more than you take, and celebrate … YOU!
